This Apple Tastes Like Our Living Room Used to Smell

Dimensions Vary, 2007, 2007.

This project involves taking something that we conventionally understand as an object, a house, and rethinking it as a process. In this case, the historic house that used to be on this site is remade as a bioplastic model and loaded with grass seeds. As portions of this model turn to soil, the function that that section once represented will be added on to the model elsewhere. Through this process of rotting and adding this house will move around its site, leaving the garden in its wake. In addition to the bioplastic model planted in the garden, a non degrading model was made for Western Bridge. This rubber model captures the process of the house after 5 additions have been made to it.
