Car Wash, like many buildings, acts as an effigy to human bodies. To expand upon this historical notion the plans and sections were drawn with an x-ray machine. Like human bodies, this building type consumes processes, and expels liquids. Instead of trying to hide its dirt, Car Washuses the drippy by-products of automobile cleansing to make the building visually and metaphorically compelling as it gathers in a reflecting pool at its base.
